At the helm of the Es Vivers kitchen is Calabrian chef Mario de Luca, who left his native Italy at the age of nine to move to Germany, where his family opened several restaurants.
De Luca discovered his passion for cooking thanks to his mother and, to this day, he continues to apply her teachings to the recipes at Es Vivers, creating original, honest and genuine dishes and focusing on healthy, homemade cuisine.
Local, seasonal and market-fresh products are the true stars of Es Vivers’ cuisine. It’s Mario de Luca himself who chooses the main ingredients for his dishes, which include such delicacies as wild fennel, rosemary and mushrooms.
The chef has been inspired by his mother’s dishes to create a revisited version of traditional home cooking. In this way, Es Vivers offers diners the opportunity to taste food prepared with local market-fresh produce, picked at its optimum point to preserve all of its flavours.
